Maryam Farshad (b. 1984, Tehran, Iran) is an artist based in Tehran, Iran. Throughout her career, she has developed interest in bridging the gap between science and art. She employs 'poetry' as a medium to connect these two realms, using it as a lens through which to explore and comprehend the world.

This perspective has significantly influenced her work, inspiring her to express her ideas through a variety of mediums that reflect her personal expression. Maryam draws from diverse cognitive layers, pushing the boundaries of nature and the environment in her artistic expressions and presentations.

She believes that the interplay of these layers symbolizes a deep connection between us and the natural world, where personal mythological and cosmological ideas have a profound influence on our imaginative mind. Her artworks take on various forms and employ a range of materials, from natural archives to the creation of magnetic fields. “Drawing” plays a pivotal role in all her works, serving as a gateway to this exploration. Through her daily practice, she delves into the meaning and essence of natural life, using her art as a bridge between the tangible and the ethereal, between wisdom and cognition.
